Silver Lake hosted the annual celebration of 12th Night on Sunday night. It was postponed until the 11th, when the weather on the 6th was quite cold. Hot chocolate and cookies were available inside the fire station, courtesy of the Silver Lake Fire and Rescue Auxiliary. Silver Lake Fire Department firefighters supervised the burn.
The cold still played a role because the fire was very difficult to get started and to keep burning. The trees were frozen and snow-covered.
