We measured 1 inch of accumulation of snow overnight at westofthei.com headquarters in Paddock Lake.
Kenosha Area Fire Rescue Scanner Facebook page is reporting that the northbound lanes of I-94 at about Highway 50 are closed this morning for a crash. WBBM radio said at about 6:08 a.m. that they were expecting the road to reopen shortly.
The National Weather Service forecast suggests that this is likely it for snow for a while. Next up is some bitter cold.
The NWS has issued a wind chill advisory starting at midnight tonight and extending to noon on Thursday. Wind chill values could be in the -20 to -30 range during that period.
High temperatures are not expected to break into the 20s until Sunday.
