The National Weather Service forecast for Saturday into Sunday is calling for sleet and snow, with perhaps some rain and freezing rain too.

Friday looks to be fairly nice, with a  high of 27 and sunny skies.

The action begins on Saturday with snow and sleet likely between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m., followed by rain and freezing rain and perhaps more sleet. After 7 p.m. until 1 a.m., there should be more freezing rain and sleet, followed by snow, which may continue until about 7 a.m.

Daytime sleet/snow accumulation could be around an inch with another half inch or less Saturday night.

After the precipitation is over, look for temperatures to plummet. Monday’s high is forecast for 3. High temperatures through Thursday are expected to be no higher than 11.
