At about 7:50 p.m., Town of Salem Fire/Rescue units and Bristol Fire and Rescue units and sheriff’s deputies are responding to a report of a chimney fire in the 26100 block of Silver Lake Road in Salem.
UPDATE 7:52 p.m. — Per dispatch: Only person inside the home started a fire in a fireplace and the chimney started on fire. That person is evacuating the building.
UPDATE 7:54 p.m. — Deputy on scene reports to dispatch that there are no visible flames from chimney at this time
