Horse missing from Paris farm

A young filly jumped out of her paddock at 9 a.m., Monday at a farm on 12th Street in Paris and is still missing Tuesday morning, according to some of the people trying to locate the animal.

The horse was tracked to Highway 142 and then vanished. It is described as a dark black filly, white blaze and three white socks.

UPDATE — Lori Stevens, one of the people who has been helping in the search for the animal, reports the horse was found this afternoon in the woods behind Paris Town Hall south of Highway 142. Robert Melby Jr of Clawz and Pawz found tracks that helped focus the search, Stevens said. The horse was reportedly in decent shape and was taken back to its home farm.
