Are there any updates on this fire
From about noon on, today, 7th, residents were allowed back into their apartments, with the exception of those in the 2 damaged ones. (one fire, one below with water damage.
Responding personnel were highly professional and worked well with the seniors in the building. My understanding is no one was hurt and all animals were accounted for, with fire personnel removing a few to the waiting arms of their owners.
I believe Driftwood supplied food and it was greatly appreciated. (I had seconds on pizza, lol)
Red Cross was on sight and arranged for about 8 residents to stay at Best Western by I-94 and Hwy 50. Also greatly appreciated.
Again, from this resident and many others, a huge THANK YOU to all the Fire personnel, Rescue Squad and Police responding to scene. They helped ease the worry and concerns for us.
