Members of the Silver Lake Police Department, Silver Lake Fire Department and Silver Lake Rescue Squad greeted trick or treaters in the village on Halloween at Schmalfeldt Park and at Riverview School. The firefighters, rescue members and police handed out glow sticks, wands, candy and pizza. ”
Even though it was cold and windy, spirits were high and the kids along with the parents loved it,” said police Chief Andrew Trudeau.
If you met up with the group, you might not have recognized Trudeau, who was in full costume as a “Sand Trooper.”
“There were some amazing costumes by the kids this year, but two of the favorites went great with my costume,” Trudeau said of the costumes in the following two photos.

It os nice to see the fire dept, rescue squad and police dept working together. Now if you could just get the village board to play nice too. See it can happen! Everyone working together for a common cause.
Glad to see, despite all the dissolve nonsense, that the police and fire services are still making such an amazing effort to bring their community together with a great time for the whole family. Good job Silver lake police and fire, and nice costume Chief Trudeau!
