A ban on all outdoor burning has been ordered in Silver Lake by Silver Lake Fire Department Chief Allison Draeger.
The burn ban will be in effect Friday, Draeger said.

My understanding was there was concern about the 25 mph wind with 45 mph gusts that day.
The burn ban was only in effect as it said on Friday 10/31/14 due to excessive wind conditions. If you ever have a question on conditions conducive for open burning please contact the Fire Department, thank you.
