Pringle to host trial run/hike and beginning geocaching on Nov. 8

pringle-logoThe Pringle Nature Center in Bristol Woods County Park will be hosting two events on Saturday, Nov. 8:

  • Pringle Nature Center, 9800 160th Ave., Bristol will be holding the  Pringle 5K Prairie and Woods Trail Run/Hike on Saturday, Nov. 8, 10 a.m.  to noon. Lace up your running shoes to help raise money for Pringle Nature Center’s environmental education programs. This 5K run/hike goes through Bristol Woods and is hailed as one of the best trails in the area. Register online or by stopping at the nature center (same day registration starts at 8 a.m.) Unique awards to the top participants in each age group. Medals to first place overall male and female. Entry fees for 5K Run/Hike: $15.
  • Pringle Nature Center, 9800 160th Ave., Bristol will be having a Beginning Geocaching session on Saturday, Nov. 8, 1 to 2:30 p.m. Geocaching is a sport where people use their GPS’s to play hide and seek with cache’s, sometimes filled with treasure. Whether you’re just starting or completely new to the sport, come on out to see if you can find our hidden cache’s. There will be a short informational session at 1:00 and 2:30 before heading out to search for the caches. Bring your own GPS or check out one of the center’s. Friends: $3/General Public: $5.
