Units responding to crash in Salem

At about 7:10 p.m., Town of Salem Fire/Rescue units are responding to a crash at Highways 83 and AH in Salem.

Per dispatch: A black, four-door vehicle reportedly struck a traffic standard and knocked it down.

UPDATE 7:12 p.m. — Rescue unit on scene reports that vehicle appears to have left the scene.

UPDATE 7:13 p.m. — Fire units being told to stand down. Deputy reports one lane blocked, but all traffic signals are blinking red.

UPDATE 7:16 p.m. — Deputy reports that vehicle reportedly fled the scene northbound on Highway 83.

UPDATE 7:45 p.m. — Rescue squad being dispatched to a parking lot in the 8700 block of Highway 83 to check out a patient who is with deputies and is believed to be from the crash.
