Truly great that your “Home Grown” as a Rescue Squad…. but handcuffing a Community and not striving to be a Paramedic Unit. brainwashing a Community saying a “IV Tech” unit is all we need here in Silver Lake.. is Under Handed and Pompous…to say the least!!!
I can’t speak for the rest of My Company…. but to paste “Fire & Rescue ” on the same political sign, and bolstering “NO” to dissolve, again shows a lack of Professionalism that has been the “Anti Dissolve” campaign from the get go!!
which beings to light.. the whole idea in the first place was to let SLFD collapse and just hand over the reigns to SLRS.. ether way… could have been handled with a little more care and follow through… OH YEAH…… we tried that already ….with the Ad-Hoc Committee!!! Alas here we are fighting this battle that should have been addressed years ago!!
For SLRS to say that all we need is IV Techs is a crime. They are taking advantage of the folks that do not know what is going on. I know what is happening and it is a crime. We need to be Paramedic and we need to be merged with Salem. If we had a professional village administrator. That person would be saying the same thing. We are just to small to be running our own programs. Silver Lake is 1.35 square miles. I want our services to be the best they can be. The way we are doing business now, that will never happen. Dissolve the village.
