The Western Kenosha County Historical Society held their annual Open House at Miller Park, just off Highway C in Trevor.

The highlight of the day was the dedication of their new display building for some of their artifacts. The structure was built by Wilmot High School students under the direction of building and construction instructor Cole Marshall.  It was moved to the site by the Salem Highway Department. They also put in the concrete slab for the building. The materials for the building were purchased by the historical society.

There were other features including an early classroom, early farm tools and techniques, blacksmithing, hit ‘N miss engines,  rope making and games for kids to play. The Salem Fire Department brought a rig and display. There were treats, including cookies and cider.
