Air One helicopter joins search for missing fisherman

map-silver-lakeThe Air One law enforcement helicopter joined the search for John Spoor, who went missing Tuesday on Silver Lake.

The helicopter crew was not able to find anything significant, said a statement issued by Sgt. Bill Beth, spokesman for the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department.

From Beth’s statement:

…¬†The search for Mr. Spoor continues in the waters of Silver Lake. Air One (A law enforcement coalition helicopter) assisted with the search this afternoon. Air One estimated visibility at about 10 feet deep, given the favorable sunshine and weather conditions. Air One was not able to locate anything in that depth of water or along the shoreline of Silver Lake. Sonar equipment continues to be used to check the remainder of the deeper waters of Silver Lake. Search teams will continue to search until about 7:30PM tonight, when light conditions become less favorable for the search. At that time teams will assess the best course of action for tomorrow.”

Spoor went fishing in his boat on Silver Lake Tuesday. His boat and car were later found. Fire department and law enforcement officers searched for Spoor until 2 a.m. this morning and then resumed searching at about 8 a.m.

Please tell me you are not serious. If your loved one was missing, would you really be asking this question?
