A round of thunderstorms tonight followed by heavy rain Wednesday are in the National Weather Service forecast for our area.

At this point, both of those occurrences are about as certain as the NWS gets, with a 100 percent chance of each. Overall, we could see from 1.5 to 2.75 inches of rain.

The NWS  hourly weather graph has a chance of rain starting about 7 p.m. today with thunderstorms most likely after 3 a.m.

High temperatures today should be 80 with a high of 75 Wednesday.

After the rain, temps are expected to drop a lot, with a high of just 59 Thursday and 58 Friday. Temps are expected to bounce back into the low 60s for the weekend.
