Units responding for smoke in Bristol

At about 7:06 p.m., Bristol Fire and Rescue, Town of Salem Fire/Rescue, Paris Fire and Rescue and Pleasant Prairie Fire and Rescue units are responding to a report of a large amount of smoke coming from a chimney in the 16200 block of 75th Street in Bristol.

Per dispatch: Person reporting smoke stopped at house but could not get anyone to answer. Caller did not remain on the scene.

UPDATE 7:09 p.m. — Deputy on scene reports no flames visible from outside the house. No one answering the door.

UPDATE 7:14 p.m. — Responding units told to slow down, but still respond and stage on Highway 50.

UPDATE 7:19 p.m. — Pleasant Prairie FD and Paris FD units being released by Bristol fire command.

UPDATE 7:22 p.m. — Deputy reports to dispatch that there is no structure fire.

UPDATE 7:23 p.m. — All other fire units clearing the scene and returning to quarters.
