Units responding for boat on Fox River in Wheatland

At about 3:20 p.m., sheriff’s deputies and Twin Lakes Rescue units are responding for a report of an unoccupied boat floating on the Fox River in Wheatland.

Per dispatch: A caller reported seeing the boat on the river between Highway 50 and Highway K.

UPDATE 3:26 p.m. — Twin Lakes Fire Department toned out for manpower for the department’s boat.

UPDATE 3:28 p.m. — Randall Fire Department toned out to respond with its inflatable unit.

UPDATE 3:29 p.m. — Deputy responding to Highway K and Highway W to block traffic.

UPDATE 3:32 p.m. — Deputy responding to Highway 50 and Highway W to block traffic.

UPDATE 3:34 p.m. — Per dispatch: People on boat were napping. Boat was anchored. Everyone is OK. Dive team being told to stand down.
