Suspect in Lake Shangri-la burglary sought

This morning, at 2:35AM Kenosha County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a burglary in progress in the Lake Shangri-La area. The burglary was occurring at (a business in the 12600 block of 224th Ave.). As Deputies arrived on scene, the suspect fled north from the burglary. Deputies and a K-9 searched a wooded area for approximately 2 hours and eventually the K-9 tracked the suspect into the waters of Benet Lake. The suspect is described as a male, white, short dark colored hair, tall, thin in his 20’s. The suspect has not been located at this time. The burglary was called in by a resident who lives above the business. The resident heard some noise in the building and called the Sheriff’s Department. Deputies located several items left behind, including an orange/grey Huffy bicycle. The bicycle is very distinct and mounted on the back is a bright blue box. Also located were numerous tools and a Sony Subwoofer. The suspect is believed to be from Lake Shangri-La or the surrounding area.
