Tiffany Ouwerkerk, daughter of Ragnar and Kimberly Ouwerkerk, Paddock Lake, has been awarded a Heritage Scholarship to Mount Mary University for the 2014-2015 school year.
The Heritage Scholarship is a renewable award, which honors the strong tradition of moral and academic integrity as established in 1913 at the University’s founding by the School Sisters of Notre Dame. Recipients of the Heritage Scholarships demonstrate, through their academic record, their commitment to the academic achievement while also engaging in service to their community.
Tiffany, a 2014 graduate of Central High School, will be a freshman at Mount Mary pursuing a degree in fashion merchandising.
“We’re delighted Tiffany has selected Mount Mary University to pursue her dream of earning a college degree,” said Eileen Schwalbach, Ph.D., president of Mount Mary University. “We awarded Tiffany a Heritage Scholarship based on her application, achievements, and outstanding potential. Tiffany is an exceptional woman who is focused on her education, has strong leadership skills and believes in Mount Mary’s mission of social justice.”
Mount Mary University, founded in 1913 by the School Sisters of Notre Dame, was Wisconsin’s first four-year, degree-granting Catholic institution for women. Located on an 80-acre campus in Milwaukee, the University offers more than 30 undergraduate majors for women and eight graduate programs for women and men. Visit Mount Mary at www.mtmary.edu.
Congratulation Tiffany! I’m very proud of you.
