Units responding for alarm in Silver Lake

At 9:26 p.m., Silver Lake Fire Department and Silver Lake Rescue units are responding to a supervisory alarm in the 400 block of Cogswell Drive in Silver Lake.

Per dispatch: Fire alarm is sounding in a unit of multi-family dwelling.

UPDATE 9:31 p.m. — Second tone out for Silver Lake Fire Department and Silver Lake Rescue.

UPDATE 9:32 p.m. — Fire unit reports to dispatch that they are responding. Rescue unit also responding.

UPDATE 9:39 p.m. — False alarm believed to be caused by lightning strike. Alarm reset. Fire and rescue units returning to quarters.

    Can anyone explain why a 2nd tone out was needed for Silver Lake Fire and Silver Lake Rescue to respond to a fire call? Did the tone out not work the first time? Do I need to be concerned about this?

    The tones worked the first time.
    the reason why there was a second tone is because KCJS had a report of a second call on the same call thats why. another person called 911 because of the alarm.
    Silver Lake Fire & Rescue showed up and the call was taken care of and was out the door at a very reasonable time.
