Units responding to fire in Salem

At about 3:20 p.m., Town of Salem Fire/Rescue, Bristol Fire and Rescue and Town of Wheatland Fire Department units and sheriff’s deputies are responding to a report of a structure fire in the 24500 block of 89th Street in Salem.

UPDATE 3:24 p.m. — First fire unit at scene reports a barn fully engulfed in flames.

UPDATE 3:25 p.m. — Fire command reports personnel will be positioning to save a house that is about 50 feet from barn.

UPDATE 3:26 p.m. — MABAS box alarm to the second level being activated.

UPDATE 3:31 p.m. — Twin Lakes Fire Departmntn responding with a tender.

UPDATE 3:43 p.m. — Box alarm response includes: Bristol Fire and Rescue, Silver Lake Fire Department, Pleasant Prairie Fire Department and Kenosha Fire Department with engines; Randall Fire Department, Wheatland FD, Silver Lake FD and Kansasville Fore Department with tenders (tankers); and additional equipment from Antioch Fire Department, Union Grove Fire Department and Paris Fire and Rescue with additional equipment.

UPDATE 4:38 p.m. — Box alarm struck by Salem fire command.
