Wilmot UHS Spring Fling 2014 attendees get surprise limo ride (VIDEO)

Wilmot Union High School’s Student Council annually hosts the Spring Fling Prom for students with disabilities.

This year’s event had a surprise mode of transportation for Wilmot participants — a huge stretch limo they knew nothing about.

Tracy Carlisle, a Wilmot language arts teacher and the student council president, helped found the Spring Fling over five years ago. This year, Carlisle gave up birthday gifts and took donations to rent a limo to take the Wilmot students to the dance at the school, said Marcia Nolan, part of the Wilmot special education staff.

Here’s how the surprise unfolded: The students were brought to Fox River Park for pre-dance photos in a scenic setting. Then while they were posing, the limo rolled up.
