Salem School is celebrating Dr. Seuss and Read Across America Week with many fun and special reading activities. Principal Ben Walshire read a book to students called “Mr. Tanen’s Ties.” This is a story about a school principal who wears silly and fun ties every day until someone tells him to only wear blue ties, and he becomes a different principal. At the end of the story, students were able to make and wear their own silly and fun tie. ¬†Walshire is pictured with ¬†teacher Linda Fisher’s four-year-old kindergarten class.
