Burning ban lifted in Silver Lake

silver-lake-fd-doorSilver Lake Fire Department Chief Andrew McFarlane has lifted the burning ban in Silver Lake that was enacted on Friday.

McFarlane said:

At this time with the rain we experienced, we can lift the burning ban for the time being. The DNR has downgraded the risk to moderate from very high. This does not however eliminate the need to obtain a burning permit from the fire department. To obtain one, people need to contact me personally or the fire station at 889-4713. I do ask that anyone burning please remain outside and pay attention to their fire to prevent any accidental spread.”
