Brighton School seeking applicants for board clerk post

BrightonLogo3_optBrighton School District is seeking letter of interest from residents who would like to fill the vacant seat of clerk on the School Board.

No candidate for the position filed to be on the ballot for the April 1 election. Russell Mueller was elected through a write-in campaign and, for his own reasons, has decided that he will not be able to fulfill the responsibilities of that office. This leaves the board with the clerk position vacant.

By policy the position must be filled by a resident living in the Brighton School District boundaries. The board is seeking interested candidates. The candidate who is selected to fill this seat would be responsible for clerk duties in the coming year. The incumbent would have the opportunity to be elected to complete the remaining two years of the term following normal filing in December of this year.

Interested citizens who live in the Brighton School District area and may be interested in filling this position are asked to submit a letter of interest to the name and address below no later than Friday, April 25. Candidates who file a letter of interest will be contacted by the district. The board will interview candidates and make a selection following those interviews. Please forward your letter of interest to: Dr. Penny Boileau, Brighton School District #1, 1200 248th Kansasville, WI 53139.

Any interested citizen who wishes more information regarding the duties of serving as Clerk of the School Board may contact Boileau for more information at 878-2191. All interested citizens from the Brighton School District are invited to submit letters of interest.
