Units responding for snowmobile crash in Wheatland

At 1:26 p.m., Town of Wheatland Fire Department and Silver Lake Rescue Squad units are responding to a report of a snow mobile crash near the 33700 block of Highway JB in Wheatland.

Per dispatch: Crash scene is along a trail in a field.

UPDATE 1:29 p.m. — Per dispatch: Deputy on scene reports one person with a knee injury.

UPDATE 1:30 p.m. — Randall Fire Department being asked to respond as mutual aid with its ATV with basket.

UPDATE 1:32 p.m. — Dispatch now reports that patient may have a broken leg and a shoulder injury.

UPDATE 1:39 p.m. — Silver Lake Rescue requests Medix for a paramedic intercept for pain management.

UPDATE 1:41 p.m. — Medix cannot respond until someone clears a call.

UPDATE 2:04 p.m. — Medix unit arrives on scene.

    25 minutes for Medix paramedics to arrive????????? The reason Salem Paramedic were not called is?????? P-O-L-I-T-I-C-S!!! I thought “we dont’ need paramedics”……….oh my, I forgot, that’s only in Silver Lake. Pathetic.

    Folks..don’t get too concerned about having to wait 25 minutes for a Medix paramedic “intercept”…you have to remember, there are no Walgreen’s stores in Wheatland!!!!
