Wilmot UHS Music Department to present evening of student soloists Wednesday

clarinet-mf-puddleduck_optThe Wilmot High School Music Department presents “Our Feature Presentation: an evening of student soloists” on Wednesday, Jan. 15.

Student instrumentalists and vocalists will be featured with Wind Ensemble accompaniment on a collection of songs.

The special guest for the evening is Professor Bennett Olson, Professor of Saxophone at the University of Wisconsin – Parkside. Professor Olson will perform Antonio Capuzzi’s Classical Rondo for Alto Saxophone.

Students will be featured on: Someone To Watch Over Me, Theme from Cinema Paradiso, Luisa Di Monfort, All Those Endearing Young Charms, Romanza from Mozart’s Horn Concerto, and the Pie in the Face Polka by Mancini. Students being featured are: Carl Simmons, Elena Schleusner, Sarah Poteracki, Abbey Severt – clarinet, Monica Dale – horn, Rebecca Boyle – euphonium, Corrinn Favaro – flute and Rebecca Brewer – vocals.

The free concert, in the Lance G. Haas Auditorium for the Performing Arts will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Wilmot Union High School, 11112 308th Ave.
