Freezing rain advisory in effect until 6 a.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a freezing rain advisory to be in effect until 6 a.m. Saturday morning.

While air temperatures have warmed up, (40 degrees at 8:53 p.m. at Kenosha Regional Airport) road temperatures have not and are not expected to improve much overnight, hence the slippery roads, the NMWS says.

Deputies have been responding to numerous ditched cars so that forecast would seem to be coming true.

There’s a 40 percent chance of rain/snow Saturday with a high early in the day of 36, the NWS forcast says.
