Lake Shangri-la will be hosting a Soup r Bowl soup throwdown and meat raffle on Saturday, Jan. 4 at the Community Center, 22211 121st St, Bristol.
The public is invited to attend.
First prize in the soup contest will be $100; second prize $50; third prize $25. There is a $10 contestant fee for participating in the soup throwdown. Rules are: Make enough for plenty of tasting, must be homemade, save chili for the chili cook-off and tell your neighbors.
Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for kids 6-13 (children under 6 free), which includes all you can sample and your first drink. Soup judging starts at 3 p.m. and meat raffle starts at 4 p.m.
