Fire departments responding to wire calls in Salem and Twin Lakes

At 1:30 p.m., after a wave of heavy weather, fire departments, police officers and deputies are beginning to respond to storm related calls involving trees and wires.

At 1:30 p.m., Town of Salem Fire/Rescue is responding to a report of an arcing wire in the 27300 block of 93rd Street in Salem.

At about 1:31 p.m., Twin Lakes Fire and Rescue units and village police officers are responding to reports of tree branches on electrical lines at Lakeshore at Wilmot and on the 100 block of Hawthrone.

UPDATE 1:40 p.m. — A deputy is responding to a report of tree branches down on Highway MB near 104th Street.

UPDATE 1:50 p.m. — Twin Lakes dispatch sends an officer to check out a report of a downed tree on Oak Ridge.
