The Kenosha County Human Services Department has issued the following statement regarding Cyber Security Awareness Month:

October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month. Cyber threats at work and at home are real – and they are becoming more common in today’s world where we count on technology to stay connected. As part of cyber security awareness month, the Wisconsin Department of Administration (DOA) has provided ways to protect yourself at work and at home from a variety of online attacks that you could face. These tips will help you: • Protect against “phishing” emails • Safeguard your accounts at work and home • Learn more about keeping your kids safe online • Provide you with trustworthy resources online. These tips can be found on the DOA website at http://www.doa.state.wi.us/. For more information, please call the Kenosha County Division of Health at (262) 605-6700, (800) 472-8008, or visit http://www.kenoshacounty.org/.
