Central High School debuted a new format for its annual Homecoming parade — on Wednesday instead of Friday — and added a community pep rally in the school’s stadium.
The parade featured units from each class, sports teams, local businesses and farmer students on tractors. The parade followed something of the traditional route, but the crowd watching was larger than in recent years.
An enthusiastic crowd celebrated Central’s Fall athletes at the first Community Pep Rally, which followed the parade. Athletic Director Jon Lindh introduced each coach, who in turn presented their team. The crowd was also entertained by presentations by the cheerleaders, dance team, and band.
