The Twin Lakes Village Board earlier this week agreed to add stop signs to the following locations:
- Koch Drive and Laurie Lane.
- Jerome Drive and Laurie Lane.
The signs were requested by resident Nicholas Cullen in a letter sent to the village in August.
“It has been a growing concern for my family as well as other neighbors in the neighborhood of the growing traffic in the area and the lack of stop signs to control the traffic,” Cullen said in his letter.
Police Chief Dale Racer said he had looked into Cullen’s request regarding the signs and said he felt they were justified.
“There is a safety issue,” Racer said. “I completely agree with Mr. Cullen.”
The vote to approve the signs was unanimous.
