moving-wall-logoA Remembrance Ceremony today at The Moving Wall display inside Prairie Springs Park in Pleasant Prairie will recognize the names of each of the Kenosha County servicemen whose names are on the wall.

The names of each of the 35 Kenosha County servicemen will be read out loud during the ceremony. The ceremony will begin at 1 p.m.

The Moving Wall is the half-size replica of the Washington, D.C. Vietnam Veterans Memorial. It was conceived of and built by Vietnam Veterans as a remembrance and healing tool for all those people who may never have a chance to visit the Memorial in Washington, D.C. The Moving Wall has been touring the country since 1984.

In addition to onsite parking, remote parking with continuous shuttles will open one hour prior to the Remembrance Ceremonies at LakeView Technical Academy. The committee invites family members of those whose names are displayed on The Moving Wall to request special seating at the Remembrance Ceremony by emailing or by calling 925-6765.

The committee would like to sincerely thank all of the individuals, businesses and community groups that have come forward to offer support towards The Moving Wall experience.
