At about 2:05 p.m., Salem Fire/Rescue units and a sheriff’s deputy are responding to the 10400 block of 266th Avenue in Salem for a report of a tree down on a wire.
We Energies is also responding. No arcing being seen, dispatch says.
UPDATE 2:15 p.m. — Deputy reports that wire and tree are on a vacant private property. Fire Department will wait for utility crew.
UPDATE 2:40 p.m. — We Energies on the scene; Salem fire units returning to quarters.
