Boy Scout Troop 328 and Venture Crew 328 met in Silver Lake to hold their first clean up on Aug. 6. on the Silver Lake Ice House Trail.

Close to 40 Scouts, Venture Crew members and leaders cleaned up along the trail at Silver Lake County Park. The work was followed by swimming and a cookout at the beach.

As the first Troop/Crew in this area to adopt, Boy Scout Troop 328 and Venture Crew 328 will maintain this trail by picking up trash, cutting back branches, and removing invasive weeds three times per year. This program is managed through Kenosha County, an idea fostered by County Executive Jim Kreuser.

Boy Scout Troop 328 and Venture Crew 328 are based out of Salem, WI. They welcome new boys, aged 11-18 to join Scouts, and boys and girls, aged 14 – 21, to join the Crew.
