A quality improvement initiative from the Kenosha County Division of Health has been selected to be part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Public Health Quality Improvement Exchange (PHQIX) website. The Kenosha County Division of Health project, “Improving Practices for Better Birth Outcomes” will be published as a success story on the website. According to Jim Kreuser, Kenosha County Executive, “The Kenosha County Division of Health has done exceptional work in the area of healthy birth outcomes and we are seeing dramatic improvements. It is wonderful to see the Division receive recognition for their hard work and dedication.” The Public Health Quality Improvement Exchange (PHQIX) is an online community designed to be a communication hub for public health professionals interested in learning and sharing information about quality improvement in public health. PHQIX launched in September of 2012 with the goal of sustaining national efforts at quality improvement through providing public health practitioners with a means for obtaining knowledge from experience of their colleagues. The community engagement will ensure that lessons learned are not limited solely to the individuals who executed a specific quality improvement initiative.”
