The community is invited to celebrate National Night Out in Twin Lakes, starting at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6.
The event will start at 5 p.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church on North Lake Avenue.
The schedule includes:
- 5 pm Welcome.
- 5:30 pm Ladder climb race (Twin Lakes FD vs. Randal FD vs. Wheatland FD).
- 5:45 pm Taser demo (TLPD).
- 5:55 pm K9 and Bomb Squad Demos (Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department)
- 6:20 pm Air Bag Demo (O’Brien’s Pit Stop), Vehicle Extrication (Twin Lakes Fire), Fire Hose spray into grass area (time and weather permitting).
- Icee Pops
- 7 p.m. Door prize drawing.
- 7:15 pm. Counting and announcement pizza competition winner (Trophy presentation).
National Night Out is a nation-wide event that promotes cooperation between the community and it’s Public Safety Officers, in an effort to draw attention to crime and fire prevention and promote a unified effort to eliminate crime problems and fire safety. Each community that participates in the National Night Out event has a variety of promotions or special events that the community is invited to attend.
