The Wisconsin Lightning 18u Black won 5-1 Wednesday at the ASA “A” National Championship against the Northern Gwinnett Dirt Dawgs (GA) at Moyer Field Complex in Salem, VA.
Kristen Wood (Wilmot) was the winning pitcher allowing 3 hits with 10 strikeouts and walking only 2.
Offensively Larkin Langston (Westosha Central) had 2 hits including a 2 run home run with Brittney Blazich (Westosha Central), Sarah Fonk ( Westosha Central) and Sarah Terrian (Waterford) with 2 hits a piece. Makenzie Walker (Kenosha Bradford) had a clutch 2 run double in the 5th.
The Lightning moves on to play Riptide from Southern California Thursday at 4 EST at Moyer Field Complex.
