Continuing the successful run towards ASA/USA Nationals the ladies of Lightning 14U capped off this weekend of softball by capturing the NSA Class A State championship. This victory is fresh off the heels of finishing as the runner up in the championship of the ASA class A state tournament. Now these young athletes are off to Lemont, IL to tune up for Nationals in the Lemont Rockers College exposure event where they will get to show off their skills for several of the top colleges in the Midwest. The summer campaign has been a great ride for these hard working young ladies. They so far this summer season have taken 3 first places, and 3 second places in the six events entered in 2013. With 2 events left they are looking for a strong finish at Nationals where they will be competing with over 100 clubs from all over the country for the opportunity to win a National championship.
