    It is arrogant and irresponsible.

What part of permitting and notification is being wasted on this burner?

Puhleese, don’t tell me that the decision was JUST made… Someone planned it for
yesterday, today or tomorrow.. People knew… except for those who would come to their rescue if it got out of hand…

it is irresponsible and I don’t care who it was.. DNR included…. I doubt ‘Cathy” would approve….

stinkin’ irresponbible and on a weekend with lots of special events in process on top of it…. Country, Progress days, Renissance …Just stinkin’ irresponsible!

Wouldn’t this call be in the Salem district? Why is it arrogant and irresponsible if the wrong fire department was dispatched to the fire? If in fact, it IS in Salem’s jurisdiction, maybe the property owner had permission from Salem. And yes, maybe the decision WAS just made! Not everyone has every second planned out. Maybe it was too windy the day before. Progress Days is pretty far away from 142 and 75; Renissance Faire is even further away, so I don’t understand your reasoning there.
