Storm related incidents July 9, 2013

Here’s a listing of storm relate incidents happening in Western Kenosha County on July 9:

  • At about 1:53 p.m. — A reader reports that they saw a lightning strike on a utility pole at Highways 50 and 83/75 (Brass Ball Corners) in Paddock Lake.
  • At about 1:55 p.m. — A sheriff’s deputy is out at 246th Avenue and Highway 50 with a malfunctioning traffic signal. UPDATE 1:58 p.m. — Lights appear to be working again, deputy reports.
  • At about 2 p.m. — A deputy is investigating a report of tree down at at 70th Street and 250th Avenue in Paddock Lake.
  • At about 2:09 p.m. — A deputy has been dispatched to deploy stop signs at Highways 45 and 50 due to a report of the traffic lights malfunctioning.
  • At 2:28 p.m. — We Energies is reporting power outages effecting about 80 customers in the Paddock Lake area.
