Units responding for motorcycle vs. car crash

At 1:50 p.m., Town of Salem Fire/Rescue and Silver Lake Rescue units and sheriff’s deputies and a Silver Lake Police officer are responding for a report of a crash involving a motorcycle and a car in the 6500 block of 288th Avenue in Salem.

The vehicles collided as the car was backing out of a driveway, dispatch reports.

UPDATE 2:02 p.m. — Paramedic from Salem Fire/Rescue being dispatched to the scene. Traffic being blocked at Highway 50 by deputy.

UPDATE 2:07 p.m. — Tow being requested for motorcycle.

UPDATE 2:23 p.m. — Traffic on Highway B being re-opened.
