Units responding to assist child in Wheatland

At about 11:03 a.m., Town of Wheatland Fire Department and Twin Lakes Rescue units along with sheriff’s deputies are responding to a child in need of assistance in the 32700 block of Highway 50 in Wheatland.

UPDATE 11:05 a.m. — Deputy on scene reports a child has a seatbelt wrapped around their neck, but the child is conscious and breathing.

UPDATE 11:15 a.m. — Wheatland units are clearing the scene and returning to quarters.
