Deputy responding to turtle near road report

At about 8:20 a.m., a sheriff’s deputy is responding to a report of a large turtle near the median of Highway 50 near the 16800 block in Bristol.

Turtle is believed to be a large snapping turtle.

UPDATE about 8:25 a.m. — Turtle found in median. Highway Department being notified.
