UPDATE: U-turn lead to motorcycle crash in Brighton

One motorcyclist’s u-turn appears to have contributed to the crash with another motorcyclist that left both seriously injured in a crash on Highway J north of Highway JB in Brighton Sunday afternoon.

According to Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department reports, the two motorcyclists collided when one motorcyclist ahead of a group of other motorcyclists slowed to make a u-turn. Partially through the u-turn, another motorcyclist collided with the turning bike. Those two operators were both transported from the scene by Flight for Life medical transport helicopters. Both were 28-years old. The motorcyclist who made the turn is from Trevor, the other is from Fox Lake, Illinois. They were riding together in a group of five.

No citations were issued as of the completion of the reporting deputy’s report.
