Groups to host workshop for caregivers on challenging behaviours

The Alzheimer’s Association’s Bristol Caregiver Support Group, Daybreak-Group Activity and Respite Program of Kenosha Area Family & Aging Services, Inc., and the Kenosha County Aging and Disability Resource Center are hosting a complimentary workshop titled “Dealing with Challenging Behaviors”. It is open to the public. This group gathering will be an informative and interactive session on how to deal with challenging behaviors of your loved one who has dementia.

Sarah Beck, Daybreak-Kenosha Site Coordinator, will talk about possible ways to handle wandering, repeating of self, confusion, not wanting to do anything, among many other challenging behaviors that can occur with memory loss. Anyone who is dealing with any of these challenges is encouraged to attend.

Dealing with Challenging Behaviors is scheduled for Monday – June 17, 2013 from 7:00pm – 8:30pm at the Westosha Community Center located at 19200 93rd St (Hwy C) in Bristol.
