A motorcyclist was injured in a crash in Salem this evening.
The crash was reported in the 12200 block of 280th Avenue at about 5:50 p.m. The initial report of the crash through dispatch said a motorcyclist was down on the street unconscious with a possible head injury.
UPDATE 6/3/2013 — From a Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department report. Injured motorcyclist, a 45-year-old man from Richmond, Ill., was transported by Flight for Life medical transport helicopter to a Wauwatosa hospital for treatment of a possible head injury because he was conscious at the scene, but appeared to be confused. The injury did not appear to be life threatening, a deputy was told by hospital staff.
