Bristol School Board approves contractor for expansion

The Bristol School Board at a special meeting Tuesday approved Scherrer Construction Company as the contractor on the school’s upcoming 15-classroom addition.

The Burlington-based company will build the $5,3 million addition approved in a April 2 referendum.

At the special meeting, the board also passed a resolution awarding the sale of the general obligation school improvement bonds to the lowest bidder, Stifel, Nicolas at a rate of 2.64 percent, said Gale Ryczek, district administrator.

More darn taxes, they say no but you watch and see there will be higher taxes. WHO THEY TRYING TO PULL THE WOOL OVER THE EYES ANYWAY.

  2. Matt says:

John- they prey on the dumb and try to silence the smart. Our government has been doing the same for a hundred years or more!

  3. anonymous says:

I don’t remember reading anything saying our taxes will go up. I’m pretty sure taxes will stay the same due to a superior bond rating the school has received because they are financially responsible. Heaven forbid we be happy that Bristol School is one of the best in the area and thriving unlike other schools in the area!
