Caregiver Call-In series planned

ADRC_Kenosha-logo-webThe Wisconsin Aging Network is offering a Wisconsin Family Caregiver Call- In. Wisconsin residents who are currently caring for an individual who is elderly or disabled are invited to participate. Caregiving includes everything from hands on care to helping with cooking, yard work, running errands to regular phone calls or visits to ensure the person is okay. The Caregiver Call-In provides an opportunity for family caregivers throughout Wisconsin to share and learn from others who are also going through the caregiver journey, all in the comfort and privacy of their home. Caregivers are encouraged to call in every second Tuesday of the month, beginning May 14, between 1 – 2:30 p.m. The Call-In format will alternate monthly between a chat group and a speaker sharing information based on a topic chosen by the group. There is no cost to participate. The toll-free call is provided by AARP Wisconsin. Group size is limited, preregistration is required. To register call Kathy Ford at the Kenosha County Aging and Disability Resource Center at 1-800-472-8008.
