Silver Lake Citizens for Growth recycling fundraiser is May 17 and 18

If you a looking to get rid of some hard to dispose of items such as electronics, metals and batteries, you are in luck.

Silver Lake Citizens for Growth will again be hosting a recycling drive on Friday, May 17, from 5 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, May 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Items can be dropped off at the Community Baptist Church garage, 203 N. Fourth Street, Silver Lake.

A wide range of items will be accepted including all types of TVs, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, stoves, dishwashers, computers, household electronics, cell phones and more. No objects containing freon will be accepted.

Besides getting this old stuff out of your hands, the material gathered will be used to raise money for the annual summer fireworks display in Silver Lake.

Items can be dropped off at the Community Baptist Church garage, 203 N. Fourth Street, Silver Lake.
